EW has learned that the beloved high school comedy will be honored with induction into the Guy Movie Hall of Fame at Spike TV’s Guys Choice event this Saturday. Cast members Sean Penn, Judge Reinhold, Robert Romanus, Brian Backer, Forest Whitaker, and director Amy Heckerling will gather on stage in Los Angeles to accept this prestigious recognition. Unfortunately, Jennifer Jason Leigh is occupied with a Broadway role and Phoebe Cates is unable to attend. The trophies will be presented to the cast by Robert De Niro, who will also present Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards with the Brass Balls award for his musical contributions.
